Flooding in Oz…


I remember the Brisbane River well, and my recollections are generally of it being fairly benign. Picnics along its banks, that sort of thing.  However, there were times when it would rage at 20 mph, brown with mud and carrying hapless trees unfortunate enough to live too close to the water.

Otherwise the river was navigable and I would say never a lazy river but neither a monster…which it became yesterday. See these amazing photos…
