Ayn Rand on Mike Wallace…

Like lots of students in the 60’s. I was a big fan of Ayn Rand, the novelist and philosopher whose philosophy she called “Objectivism”  in which she trumpeted the “virtue of selfishness”.  The link below is an interview of her by Mike Wallace, done in he 60’s.

As a footnote, Helen Mirren plays (well)  Ayn Rand in the recent biographical movie called  “The Passion of  Ayn Rand”.

Note that, horror of horrors, Wallace is smoking a cigarette during the interview. That would have fit into Miss Rand’s philosophy well. Freedom.

Ayn Rand’s famous books were The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged.
